Hay & Tay Limited is a permitting consultancy founded to do one thing exceptionally well — secure the consents that allow major infrastructure to be built on, under and around Transport for London's network.

Permitting is rarely the headline of a construction project, but it's almost always on the critical path. A late permit can hold up tier-one contractors, public realm schemes and developer programmes worth tens of millions of pounds. We exist to make sure that doesn't happen.

Working on behalf of contractors, utilities and developers, we prepare, submit and shepherd applications through London boroughs, the GLA and TfL itself. Our work spans Section 50 and Section 58 highways permits, Temporary and Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders, lane rental applications and London Permit Scheme submissions.

The practice is led by director Petra ("Peach") Brooker, who built Hay & Tay around a single principle: clients deserve a permitting partner who picks up the phone, returns the email, and treats their programme as if it were her own.
